Tom Killner

UK award-winning powerhouse vocalist and guitarist Tom Killner who straddles the line between genres with soulfully infused Blues, Southern Rock, Country, and Americana announces a special new album launch show at Yellow Arch Studio Sheffield following a successful Kickstarter campaign which surpassed its target. The free spirited Tom enthuses with an infectious smile, “I’m really looking forward to launching the new album in our home stomping ground in Sheffield. It’s been a long time coming from where some of the tracks were first written in lockdown and now it’s time to release them into the wild!

Going on to reveal a little on the album (which will be announced fully with a new single and available for pre-order in due course) Tom teases “All in, it will include 10 tracks of my best singing, playing and story-telling to date. We have a bunch of killer different bundles and we’re really excited to bring this out for all to hear as we’re super proud of the new songs.” The final touches of the album are underway with vocal recording, mixing and mastering handled by the esteemed and in-demand Wayne Proctor at his House of Tone Studios (King King, Aynsley Lister, Ben Poole, Oli Brown).

Setting the tone for what gig goers can expect from the night, “Having a launch somewhere that means a great deal to me as it’s where we’ve met so many friends that have supported us from the start, bringing it home feels right. With this being a special event we’re playing an acoustic set for VIP ticket holders followed by our electric set which will also have Anthony Croft on fiddle who plays on the new album – I can’t wait to play the album in full to our fans for the first time.” The show also features good friends and special guests in southern inspired rockers Ramblin’ Preachersalongside the multi-influenced and talented Kier.

Winning over audiences across the UK and Europe with their highly dynamic show, Tom and the band featuring the talents of Wes Brook (keys, Hammond), Callum Houghton (bass) and Rich Hunter (drums) will take you on a rollercoaster of hooky riffs and heartfelt songs. His last independent releases ‘Get Back Up’, ‘Church House Sessions’ and the single, ‘Home’ were received to critical acclaim garnering stellar reviews with international airplay including BBC Radio.

Dovetailing the aforementioned new album release, 2024 is set to be Tom’s busiest year to date, “We’re playing a good number of festivals in Rockmantic, Call of the Wild, Rockwich, HRH Blues, SOS Festival and others yet to be announced. You’ll be seeing plenty of us that’s for sure and playing live is where it’s at for us!” The band will also be hitting the road in a double header with southern rockers American band Hush Money taking in 5 classic club venues across England and Scotland. Be sure to catch Tom and his band live at a venue near you for a memorable showcase of guitar slinging and foot-stomping hell-raising songs.
