The Story of Noor Inayat Khan (Chamber Music Festival)

Noor Inayat Khan is rightly celebrated for her incredible bravery serving as a radio operator in France during the Second World War, before she met her death at Dachau concentration camp. Less well known is the musical journey she enjoyed with her family before the war, which embraced both Indian and western music, and brought them into contact with Nadia Boulanger, Igor Stravinsky and Pablo Casals.

Join Dr Stella Mascarenhas-Keyes and Music in the Round’s Artistic Director Angus Smith as they reflect on the life of this gifted and courageous woman, including musical interludes from celebrated Indian classical violinist Kamalbir Singh and members of Ensemble 360.
