Refugee Rhythms presents Movements #5

After a incredible first event, STAR are back at Yellow Arch Studios to dance again for the charities that we support and love. At movements #4 we raised over £1000 and brought so much energy to the dancefloor,  so we cant wait to continue this momentum with a fantasic femme lineup of Sheffield and Manchester’s finest!

All profit from the night will be donated to Sheffield-based charities that form an essential part of the Female and LGBT+ Asylum Seeker and Refugee support network  – please do check out their work  and get in touch with either us or them if you’d like to find out more or get involved.

Women’s Conversation Club:
Provide a safe, social space for  female asylum seekers and refugees to meet, have coffee, share stories and practise English. The clubs are run by volunteers on a weekly basis.

LASS Lesbian Asylum Support Sheffield
A Support group for lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer women who are seeking asylum or are refugees. This group has been set up, by LBTQ+ asylum seekers and volunteers,  in response to a need for LBTQ+ asylum seekers and refugees to have tailored support in Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
