La Rumba: Romare, Crazy P (DJ)

We return to Sheffield’s best late night venue, Yellow Arch Studios, once more after our end-of-term blowout with Optimo & Kahn + Neek, this time on a groovier tip with 2 extended DJ sets from Romare and Crazy P.

After hosting Romare at The Harley last year we had no doubt we’d be inviting him back to Sheffield very soon. With new music on the horizon with his ‘Gone’ EP and his next album looming, now is the most exciting time to catch Romare’s truly eclectic DJ sets which see anything from bass-heavy R&B samples with retro-funk, jazz & blues, to electronic, afro, underground disco cuts and techno thrown in for good measure.

Fresh off the back of a sold out UK album tour with ‘Age of the Ego’, alongside incredible performances at Glastonbury & Gottwood, we have Crazy P in the venue for a DJ set. With roots in early house & techno and a career spanning over 20 years, Crazy P have spearheaded the revival of house, disco & soul in the UK since 1997, with feet held firmly both live on stage and in the club.
