Celebrating artists pushing the boundaries and blurring the lines of Jazz music, as part of Yellow Arch Studios‘ Independent Venue Week. 

Run Logan Run are a head on collision of pounding tribal drums and screaming guttural saxophone. Architects of intense contrast, the duo’s diverse and precise instrumentation regularly flirts with fragility and raw power. 

Formed through a shared passion for improvisation, spiritual jazz and heavier experimental music, the pair have been authoring their own narrative in the new wave of crossover jazz; touring the UK and festival circuit extensively, picking up the Montreux Jazz Talent Award for their performance at the festival this Summer.

Long Legged Creatures; inhabiting an inventive middle ground between the artificial and the analogically pure. LLC’s unique blend of ever-twisting electronica has shaped their live appearances into some kind of hybrid; on one hand groove-laden club set, the other a hardcore punk show. Now with some heavy hitting shows under their belt, LLC’s steezy electronic spirit has earned them ‘not-to-be-missed’ status in Leeds’ fruitful DIY scene.
