Dreamflower Collective consists of some of the finest young musicians working in Sheffield, re-interpreting classic soul, jazz and hip-hop albums. The collective have been engaging with the city’s jazz scene for several years now; you may recognise some of them from FriNJE. Combining the huge range offered by the three lead singers and a five-piece rhythm section that never miss a beat – watching these guys perform is an experience.

2019 saw Dreamflower tackle Childish Gambino’s Awaken My Love, but in 2020 they’re bringing back an album from the archive… D’Angelo’s Brown Sugar. This 90s classic is an amalgamation of gospel and soul with contemporary R&B. Being their first album re-interpreation back in 2018, this stylistically unique album with smooth vocals holds a dear place in the band’s heart.
