Having completed a sold-out headline tour last month, hotly-tipped indie-pop risers Cherryholt announce details of a fresh UK headline tour this December. It adds to a hectic year of touring for the teenage quintet, who also have shows with The Wombats, Bastille, Red Rum Club and Arkayla on the schedule alongside select festival dates. The band recently commenced a new deal with Regal Records by unveiling two new songs, ‘flies’ and ‘seventeen’.
The six-date tour includes a show at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield, which is already a significant location in the Cherryholt story. The band’s breakthrough moment ‘Irresistible’ started to go massively viral while they were inside the venue watching Radio Free Alice lastAugust.
Consisting of Reuben Baskerville (vocals/guitar), Harvey Walsh(guitar), Ben Walsh (bass), Dylan Austwick (drums) and Dan Goldspink (keyboards), Cherryholt blend multi-generational influences to inform their contemporary style, mixing up touches that echo Inhaler, Fontaines D.C., The Kooks, The Strokes, The Smiths and The Beatles. Based in Stamford, Lincolnshire, the band’s growing powers have been further honed by working with the renowned producerRich Turvey (Blossoms, The Royston Club, Jamie Webster).
Tickets for the dates go on sale HERE from 10am this Friday, June 19th. Fans who sign up to the band’s mailing list HERE can access a pre-sale which opens at 10am on Wednesday, June 17th.
