‘Royal Sounds’ are a roots reggae band hailing from London, UK – formed in September 2012. They can be seen as a band of the future. The line-up includes: one of the brothers (Ajani) on bass, the other brother (Gyasi) on guitar, vocals delivered from (Ajani and Gyasi’s cousin) Hannibal and also Ras Sempah.
#KeepItRoyal UK Tour will be an opportunity for Royal Sounds to showcase to reggae lovers their latest work following their debut album “Burning Inspiration”. If you have seen the band live in concert, be sure to attend a gig to see how they have progressed. All in attendance will be invited to meet and greet the band / talk about how the construction of their Reggae music. As an addition to the tour – Royal Sounds will bring special guest artist Empress Imani to join them!
Meet Empress Imani, a Reggae-Soul singer/songwriter. Reggae Star Factor first runner up, Winner of Leeds Contribution to Black Music, Beffta Award Winner for Best UK Reggae Act 2016 and also Female RisingSstar 2018. Empress Imani has always had a passion for music and creative expression. She spent much of her childhood on the beautiful island of St Vincent where she found her unique singing voice, after being singled out for solo performances in community youth events. It was said that her performance style was not only soulful, but sassy, and rootsy. Following her first 2019 release ‘Over Tonight’ (produced by Royal Sounds), she will join the band on the road for the first time!
